Data Recovery
We’re sorry to hear if you have lost important data like documents, photos, or anything else. However, we’d be happy to help you recover that precious data. We can help you recover data from hard drives, flash drives, memory cards or anything else that can hold data.
Unfortunately, the price for data recovery varies wildly depending on the type of recovery needed. The simplest recovery is the one where your computer dies to due a hardware error and you can’t start up, but the hard drive is just fine. We can pull the hard drive and connect it to a special device that will let us download all the data from the drive.
The second level of recovery is when data has been deleted from a device. If the drive or device is in good working condition, there are software tools that can normally recover the data fairly easily as long as it has not been a long time since the data was deleted.
The third level and the most expensive is when data is gone and the hard drive or device has been completely formatted or is failing or about to fail. This type of recovery usually require specialized hardware that can read the platters on the disk and requires actually taking the disk apart. This type of recovery is only recommended if it is absolutely essential that you recover your data.
Data Backup
If you currently do not have a backup plan for your data, please call us and we can assit you with making a plan. Most people have loads of pictures and videos stored on their computer that never get backed up. Don’t wait until it’s too late. All hard drives will eventually fail, it’s just a matter of time.
We can help you setup a local backup plan that includes automatically backing up data to another computer, to an external hard drive, to a network attached storage device or to the cloud. Backing up to multiple locations is highly recommended.
For example, I use my iPhone to take videos of my two kids and have my photos and videos automatically backed up to Dropbox, a cloud service, to my Mac computer and to my network attached storage device. You can never have too many backup options for that precious data.
Data Transfer
Transferring data is usually not complicated, but it can be cumbersome. If you’re switching computers or needing to transfer a large amount of data between two locations, local or remote, we can help you out.
When moving data between two computers, we can not only help you transfer your data, like documents, music and videos, but we can also transfer your settings, programs, saved passwords, bookmarks, and more to the other computer.
Unlike other companies, we will transfer any amount of data for the same price. We just don’t see why companies only let you transfer 10GB or 15GB of data when you might have 100GB or 500GB of data. We’ll transfer all of it for just one price.
